Bonnie Tyler to totally eclipse Marenostrum

Bonnie Tyler is a total eclipse of Marenostrum

Bonnie Tyler, the British music icon, will perform at the Marenostrum Festival on August 14th in Fuengirola as part of its tenth anniversary.

Tyler’s musical career of 50 years will be celebrated in this concert at the foothills of the historic Sohail Castle.

Tyler’s raspy and soulful voice will be heard on the stage as she performs classics like “It’s a Heartache”, Total Eclipse of the Heart”, or “Holding Out for a Hero”, alongside tracks from her newest album, The Best is Yet to Come. Tyler has received numerous awards, including two Brit Awards nominations, three Grammy Awards (1984 and 1985) and a Guinness World Record as the first female to top the UK Album Charts with Faster than the Speed of Night in 1983. She represented the UK in Eurovision with “Believe in Me”.

Tyler has had a five-decade career, touring with legends such as Status Quo, Meat Loaf and Cher. She has also amassed millions of streams across digital platforms. In reflecting on her many visits to Spain, Tyler cited the nightlife of the country and its enthusiastic concert audiences among her favorite memories. She is excited to return because “the concerts here are always fantastic.”

Tyler continues to be very active in her studio. She is close to completing a new record that will be released in 2025. Although she has seen significant changes in the industry, such as the shift from selling 50,000 “Total Eclipse of the Hearts” a day to the growth of streaming, Tyler’s passion for performing is still the same. She said she wanted to explore new creative paths, including the possibility of a blues album.

Tyler’s Marenostrum Festival appearance in Fuengirola is sure to be an unforgettable experience for fans. She will bring her signature sound to the city. Bonnie Tyler performs Marenostrum in Fuengirola at Solhail Castle on Thursday, 14th August. The concert starts at 10pm. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets start at €60.50 and are available from the marenostrumfuengirola.com website.
