Costa del Sol bargain-hunters are preparing to take advantage of Black Friday sales in the hope of securing great deals for Christmas. In Malaga province, around 88 per cent of residents plan to shop, with the average spend expected to be €245, according to a Spanish consumer association.

La Cañada in Marbella and Miramar in Fuengirola will see heavy footfall as shoppers hunt for discounts across fashion, beauty, electronics, and homeware. Black Friday is also a big day for major retailers. Leroy Merlin has up to 50% off all home and garden products including flooring, outdoor decking and bathroom fixtures. This offer is valid through 1 December. Carrefour has discounts on groceries and home appliances, including essentials such as olive oil, seafood, fresh meats and multi-buy 3×2 offers on pantry staples. Decathlon has a range of sportswear and equipment on sale, including waterproof jackets, hiking gear and running shoes.
