Benalmadena water supply to be cut off again

Benalmadena’s water supply will be cut again

Benalmadena has to dig up the streets to replace some water pipes urgently. Be sure to stock up on water bottles and watch out for elderly and infirm neighbors who may not be in a position to go to the shops due to the extreme heat.

According to the local council’s social media accounts, due to maintenance and improvement works on the main water network, a temporary water supply interruption will affect the following areas: Plaza de España, Pío XII, Dos Olivos, and Calle Santo Domingo. The water supply interruption will take place on Wednesday, 23 July from 8am until 3pm.

Emabesa the company responsible for the water supply in the town has not made any statement about why the work must be done during the summer months when hotels, restaurants and other hospitality businesses will be busiest. We can only assume that the work is urgent.

Acosol was responsible for water supply throughout the Costa del Sol. Emabesa is digging up streets to fix the water pipes in Benalmadena.

Take the time to inform as many people as possible. Many will not be aware of the situation. Also, take the time to check on the elderly or infirm who may need bottled drinking water.
