Benalmadena joins the worldwide commemoration of World Alzheimer’s Day with a number of events organized by the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s and Other Dementia Patients.
The activities are intended to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease, engage the local community and raise funds for those who have been affected.
A charity jazz concert entitled “Only Jazz”, which will take place on Saturday, September 27th at 9pm at the Benalmadena Auditorium, is the highlight of this week. The Little Big Band of Malaga is the main attraction. It’s a 24-strong group of musicians, with members from Benalmadena and other parts of the province. This band, known for its diversity in age and gender, delivers a bold and inclusive performance dedicated to equality.
Tickets for the concert are available for a €10 donation at AFAB’s headquarters on Avenida Ciudad de Melilla. Contact AFAB on 952 587 803 or 699 215542 for more information and to reserve tickets.
AFAB expressed their gratitude for community support and encouraged local residents to attend these events. Residents were encouraged to not only enjoy the live music, but also contribute to a good cause that will benefit countless families. The initiatives are designed to help break down stereotypes, increase empathy, and make Benalmadena a more welcoming and inclusive community. The Benalmadena Auditorium can be found on Avenida de Rocio Jurado Arroyo de La Miel. On Saturday, September 27, the concert starts at 9pm.
