Both evenings will begin with reception and a photocall at 7.30pmFashion shows will be held at 8pm.
Local shops, young designers and their work are the focus
The event on Friday at Plaza de la Mezquita is a chance to showcase local designers and businesses. Menta Moda is one of the companies taking part. Others include Flamenca Florido (The Times Shop), Noelia Noelia and Miguel Miglionico. A New Designers Competition will also give Irene Villalobos, Teresa Perujo, Manuela Di Croce and Maria José Perujo the chance to present their work.
Saturday’s programme moves to the distinctive Castillo El Bil Bil, where José Perea, Sofía Santini, Laura Ortiz, Esteban Freiría and Hassan Bouchikhi will present their designs. The second evening will focus on sustainability and innovation, with awards presented.
Benalmadena Moda is now an annual event
The Costa del Sol is not hosting a fashion event for one weekend only. Benalmadena Moda started in 2023. The 2026 event is the fourth edition. The previous years featured local retailers, established designers and new ones. Organisers also used the event to showcase new talent.
Over 200 people attended 2025, which featured a young designers award as well as prizes for sustainability and innovative ideas. The previous event took place at the Casa de la Cultura and Plaza de Andalucia, both in Arroyo de la Miel.
This year, the decision to use Castillo El Bil Bil instead of Plaza de la Mezquita has given a unique setting for the fashion week. Especially on Saturday night. Castillo El Bil Bil has also recently undergone a major renovation, with the town hall investing more than €800,000 in improvements to the building, accessibility, energy efficiency and visitor facilities.
Fashion, music and local business
Both evenings will feature live music performances and music. Ana Romma will perform on Friday, while Saturday’s programme includes guitarist Adrián Ariza, singer Manuel Palomares and dancer Lorena Gavilán.
Benalmadena Council said the event was intended to promote local businesses and create activity in restaurants. Visitors can also see the fashion in two different areas of Benalmadena – from the bustling Plaza de la Mezquita to the newly renovated Castillo El Bil Bil by the coast.
Benalmadena Moda is taking place this Friday and Saturday. Both fashion shows will start at 8pm.
