Benahavis is hosting its beloved charity event again. Lark in the ParkOn Sunday, 15 June, in the beautiful Parque Torre de Leonera. This afternoon of live music and open-air theatre is sure to be one of the highlights of the summer on the Costa del Sol.
The gates open at 3pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their dancing shoes, a picnic and something to sit on. The event begins at 6:30pm. The Val Hala Fashion Show, a comedy play in one act, was written by Sheila Mellor with Kate Jackson and Sandra Mole. The play features local actors in a large ensemble and is full of laughter.
Karen Danzig will perform live music. Del Sol Singers will join her for a lively performance.
This year’s funds raised will go towards supporting AspandemSan Pedro-based charity, which helps adults and children with disabilities. Aspandem is a local charity that works with the Ministry of Health and the town hall to provide care, support and education for families in the area. A portion of these funds will go to the International Theatre Studio for their building and equipment fund.
Donations are accepted via the website. A suggested minimum is 20 euros per person. The nearby Town Hall offers free parking. The venue has toilets and access for the disabled.
