At least 4 people were poisoned in Spain after eating tortillas at a restaurant.


Four people got food poisoning after eating a DODGY tortilla in a Zaragoza-based restaurant.

The Aragon Epidemiological Bulletin reported that four diners had contracted salmonellosis following their consumption of the Spanish potato-omelette dish.

Inspectors of public health specializing in food safety investigated the outbreak.

After testing four diners and taking stools samples, inspectors found that the tortilla was to blame.

Salmonelisis, one of the most widespread and common diseases Salmonella, a bacteria found in food, can cause serious illnesses.

It is frequently linked to ‘out of date’ eggs or products that have been undercooked or even raw.

Symptoms can include sudden onset of fever and abdominal pain.

The symptoms usually appear six to 72 hours after consuming food contaminated by salmonella.

The problems can last up to one week.
