As fire torches shop and cars, dozens of people are evacuated from the Costa del Sol tourist area

DOZENS of people were forced to leave their homes when a fire ravaged through vehicles and shops in a popular tourist area on the Costa del Sol.

Flames inundated two properties in Arroyo de la Miel (Benalmadena), Malaga at 4:45am Friday.

Police reported that the fire had destroyed three cars and seven motorbikes parked nearby. The fire caused no injuries.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
