Andor, Season Two
Andor Season Two is the kind of show that makes you sit back and go, “Wow… this is Star Wars?” But in the best possible way. It continues where Season One left and goes even deeper into the dirty, gritty world that lies behind the Rebellion. There are no Jedi mind tricks here, just real people making tough choices – often in the shadows. Diego Luna’s performance is outstanding, as are characters like Mon Mothma Luthen Rahel and Bix Caleden. The emotional moments are intense and the political tension is high. It is smart, serious and not afraid of getting dark. Disney+ offers the opportunity to stream this show.
Poker Face Season Two
Charlie Cale has returned, and is still one of the most cool detectives in TV. Poker Face Season Two follows the same format as Season One, with Charlie moving to a completely new city, a totally new outfit, and an entirely new mess for each episode. Natasha brings the same gruff, laid-back charm from Season One. There are also plenty of guest stars, including Cynthia Erivo. The show is still about How to get started She is more likely to catch the perpetrators than the criminals, and this works for the most part. It’s not all clever and a few episodes seem a bit repetitive, but this series has its own groove. You can enjoy it if you want to watch a quirky, crime-based show. Peacock is the place to watch.
