Age Concern San Pedro and Marbella’s annual holiday event was held on December 11, and it is the perfect time to celebrate Christmas.
The lunch, which was held once again at The Hogan Stand San Pedro, was attended by approximately 93 guests and lasted a few enjoyable hours.
Christmas Lunch with Music, the Ideal Combination
There was an excellent choice of top-notch food served by the friendly, efficient staff of the restaurant. And if that weren’t enough to make the event a success, a variety of musical acts entertained the attendees with Christmas themed songs.
The first performance of the evening was given by Karen Danzig of the Del Sol Christmas choir, a group of local residents who love to entertain.
The acts were staged so that guests could enjoy a course and then listen to the music with the second ‘act’ being the versatile Brian Piccolo who when he isn’t designing Haute Couture fashion is also a superb and generous singer who invited talented members of the audience to perform alongside him.
Age Concern Lunch raises funds for charity
This was an opportunity for many people to come together and enjoy each other’s companies, but the charity also needed to raise some funds. It did this with a lottery and auction.
Giles Brown was the auctioneer between Talk Radio Europe broadcasts. Many supporters also donated raffle prizes.
Age Concern Marbella look for new President
We thank everyone for their support. Age Concern After several years, President Carol Woolnoth has announced her decision to step down. The committee is looking for a replacement who can dedicate their time and energy to ensure that this worthwhile charity continues to grow.
At the time of writing, it had been confirmed that just under €1,750 had been raised and all of this will be used to continue to support the elderly in Marbella and San Pedro.
