MORE MALLORCA NEWS:

The attack occurred before 1am Wednesday.
The victim, described as ‘young’, was a bar customer but problems started much earlier.
The Senegalese man is said to be ‘well-known’ in the area with a record for violent crime including an attempted murder.
He entered the bar around 11pm and verbally abused customers and staff. He even used a sharp object as a weapon to threaten people physically.
The attacker returned to the scene less than two-hours later, as a group – including a Dutchman – attempted to subdue and restrain him so that he would not assault anyone else.
He was thrown to the ground after a fight outside of the Calle s’Arenal pub.
He then stabbed a Dutch customer behind the back.
The victim was helped by a Policia Nacional officer who covered the wounds until paramedics arrived.
The attacker fled, but officers were able to quickly track him down after witnesses pointed out his location.
The scissors that were used in the attack, which he had thrown on the ground while escaping, have been recovered.
