The Estepona Town Hall has officially denied false reports that ADANA (the local animal shelter) is being evicted. The mayor assured the long-time ADANA volunteer Fernando Amores and the ADANA president, Susie Brown in a recent meeting that the future of the association is secure.
Local residents and animal enthusiasts have been unnecessarily worried by the rumour that has been spread by individuals and political groups. The Town Hall called it false and confirmed this. ADANA It has signed a legal agreement that it will use the current location for at least 75 years.
The shelter is situated on an 11-square-metre site in Los Pedregales. The site was officially given to the shelter by the council in the year 2021.
ADANA has cared for abandoned pets in Estepona over the past 20 years. Their dedicated volunteers rescue, shelter and rehome needy animals every day. The mayor acknowledged the valuable work done by the charity and encouraged people interested in adopting animals to visit their shelter.
The Town Hall supports ADANA as well by maintaining the access road and facilities, cleaning the septic tank and ensuring that the water supply is working correctly.
Residents in Estepona are assured that ADANA’s animal shelter is safe. The council is committed to continuing its support of this beloved charity and animals it protects. Visit their shelter located in Las Cabrerizas for more information and to adopt.
