Family of four die in Costa del Sol town after suspected gas leak

A suspected gas leak in Costa del Sol has killed a family of four.

A FAMILY OF FOUR DIERED in their Torrox house from a suspected natural gas leak.

The bodies of two teenaged children and a married couple were discovered Tuesday around 3:20pm.

They died overnight after a butano stove was left on, which released deadly carbon monoxide fumes.

Said Rabah (53), and his wife Saadia (38), moved to Spain more than 20 years ago from Morocco.

Mohammed, aged 19, and Mustafa (17) were their two sons.

The couple had been living in Torrox’s Old Town on Calle Pontil since 18 months, after moving from El Morche.

Saadia missed a meeting with the Assalam Association and Mustafa didn’t go to school on Tuesday.

Saifi el-Hassan, a family friend, and others went to the apartment of their friends but received no response when they rang the bell.

When they called Saadia’s mobile, the phone rang- but no reply.

They were afraid that something bad had happened and a neighbor with a spare key let them in.

They found the father asleep on the couch in the living room and the rest of the family sleeping in their rooms.

Paramedics were unable to save the family’s life after they called emergency services about a gas leak.

The Language of the Speaker El Mundo Saifi al Hassan in the newspaper said: They were an example for integration. Saifi al Hassan cried.

“The boys were born in Sain but they played soccer at El Faro de Torrox, a sports club that was closely associated with them.”

Mustafa was a defender in the CD Torox youth squad.

A hundred people, mostly from the local Moroccan community, gathered in front of the home.
