The suspect was bailed following an Alzira court hearing.
The woman is accused of shaking, humiliating, and hitting children, as well as locking up the children in rooms without supervision.
The children were between the ages of nine months and three.
The conditions of her bail include a ban on any communication with minors enrolled in the school as well as any involvement in activities that involve minors.
While the investigation continues, it has been ordered that the Calle Albalat kindergarden be closed.
Social media sites, now deactivated by the facility, show that it has been operating for over 30 year.
Valencian Ministry of Education and Algemesi City Council have been working together to provide new nursery facilities for minors.
A council statement said that a list of families affected by its closure was being drawn up to ‘offer quick and urgent alternatives that can guarantee schooling in other centres and prioritising the welfare of children and the peace of mind of families’.
