The authorities have been informed that a SCHOOL bus driver from Serrania De Ronda, who was transporting 12 schoolchildren at the time of the test, tested positive for cocaine.
The incident occurred around 8:30am on 14 March when the Guardia Civil Malaga traffic division was conducting routine checks on school buses along the A-374, in the town of Ronda.
During the operation they stopped a school bus with 12 minors on its way to a nearby school.

The driver was tested for drugs at the roadside using a saliva sample. This test can detect up to six different types of drugs.


The initial tests indicated that cocaine was present. This result was confirmed later by a certified lab.
The driver also failed to have the mandatory passenger insurance and display the V10 sign that indicates the vehicle is carrying minors.

The Guardia Civil has cited the driver’s multiple violations, and reminded transport companies of their strict safety regulations to protect children.
All students were transported safely and without incident.
