Save a Life defibrillator February fundraiser with a packed lineup

A packed lineup for the Save a Life February fundraiser

On Saturday, February 21st, the local community will come together to enjoy a wonderful afternoon of live music, philanthropy, and charity at the Millennium Cocktail Bar, Calahonda, as they host a major fundraiser for the amazing, expat-led Save A Life Charity (S-A.L.).

Starting at 4pm, the “Fantastic Charity Afternoon & Evening” promises to be one of the highlights of the social calendar so far this year and will bring together an impressive line-up of Costa del Sol talent to raise essential funds for life-saving defibrillators to be installed across Mijas and beyond.

Supporting local installations of life-saving defibrillators

This event was organised to support the S-A.L. (Save a Life). campaign, led by Gerry Hannam and Jenny Hannam. The local authorities refused to install defibrillators. The charity has installed several devices in important locations, including Calahonda. These devices provide essential emergency equipment which can increase survival rates from cardiac arrest by as much as 70 percent.

A stellar lineup of artists will provide guests with non-stop entertainment. The lineup includes local favourites Ben Nelmes and The Soulmates. Also included are The 2319 duo, Steve Owen, Lucy Pardoe and the stunning Paige Lefley.

Dave Lewis, a singer-songwriter of immense talent, will be the evening’s main act. Lewis has a stellar pedigree, having performed on Van Morrison’s Magic Time Album.

A mere €10 on the door

Entry is merely €10 on the door, with every single cent going directly toward purchasing and installing more defibrillators. The day promises to be filled with great performances and a fantastic atmosphere, all in support of a worthy cause.

The Millennium Cocktail Bar is a must-see event for locals and visitors alike.
