A MOLDOVAN citizen has been charged for robbing fifteen homes and breaking into 2 cars in Benissa and Teulada in the north of Alicante Province.
A wave of one-man crimes began in Moraira around the end last year, when the Guardia Civil became aware of several break-ins.
The 35 year old man acted after dark, having ensured properties – mostly holiday homes – were empty.

The man also covered his face so that he could not be identified on surveillance cameras.
Early in 2025 the man turned his attention to Benissa and committed a dozen burglaries.
Guardia patrols were spotting him in the early hours of the morning, when they were prowling through urbanisations where he had staged subsequent break-ins.
Numerous stolen items, including two firearms, were recovered from the burglar’s Calpe residence.

Some of the items found were laptops and video consoles as well as jewellery, expensive perfumes and tools.
Guardia is still investigating the Moldovan, as it believes that other properties have been stolen by him.
The man was arrested after he appeared before a Denia court judge.
