A FRENCH family on holiday in Javea, Spain was struck by a drunken driver as they crossed a pedestrian bridge.
A few moments earlier, an inebriated motorist had struck down a 12-year old boy at another zebra crosswalk on the same road.
The boy was only treated for bruises in his leg at the local health center.

The French family spent the day at Arenal Beach and was walking across Avenida de la Libertat around 3.30pm.
The car went onto the wrong-side of the road, before proceeding to the pedestrian crossing and the pavement.
Two brothers, two and five years old, were injured. One boy received a blow on the head while the other suffered several bruises.
All three victims were taken to Denia Hospital after their father suffered various fractures and bruises.
According to reports, all three of them were doing fine and not in any danger.
Javea Policia Local agents arrested the 50-year old driver who tested positive on a breathalyzer for excess alcohol.
The charges against him include four counts of gross negligence leading to bodily injury, and a violation of road safety.
The Guardia Civil has been on a week long campaign against drunken drivers in Alicante.
