Police in Malaga have arrested a 20-year-old man in a widening inquiry into alleged online calls for looting and disorder over Halloween.
The arrest was announced on Thursday as part of a coordinated operation involving the Policía Nacional, Guardia Civil and Mossos d’Esquadra. Officers say the suspect was active in messaging channels linked to Blocus and encouraged saqueos and other unrest at shops in Malaga, Fuengirola and Marbella.
The latest detention comes after the alleged founder of the movement in Spain was arrested in Picanya, near Valencia, in the same operation. Our earlier report explained how investigators believe the group used encrypted channels and social media to coordinate calls for disorder.
Wider police operation
According to police sources cited by other outlets, the Malaga suspect is accused of taking part in chats that urged followers to target commercial areas on Halloween night. The investigation remains open and further arrests have not been ruled out.
Authorities said the national operation was launched after earlier disturbances in Barcelona, where violent clashes and looting followed a youth gathering called on social media.
