Party in the Square 2026 will be a night full of dancing and singing on the waterfront.

Free music at the boatside

Party in the Square is back on Saturday, September 19. It’s one of Manilva’s favorite nights out. The festivities will run from 7pm until midnight and take over the small plaza in the middle of the port. Rocking Johnny is the local favourite who will keep Costa del Sol crowds dancing for two decades.

Local businesses come together to raise funds for Fundacion Aprona

The festivities are based on a real cause. Every euro collected at the event will be donated to Fundacion Aprona. The Estepona-based charity offers occupational therapy, specialist training, residential care, early childhood assistance and support for children with additional needs. This year’s chosen charity has been named by the organizers.

All of this would not be possible without the support of the port’s merchants. Ryders Corner Flag Shandies The Bar Tobacconist Morgan Hair Design, The Bar and The Tobacconist have all donated their names to the September fundraiser. This helps keep admission free for anyone who wishes to come down.

Rare full house for live entertainment

Manilva had a rough few months in the music world. Due to a council limit that limits bars to just a few live music licensed nights in the summer, several gigs were cancelled or shortened in Duquesa. This was to the dismay of many performers and owners of venues who rely on this season to earn money. Rocking Johnny, who is a musician himself, has warned that the elderly rely heavily on these live music nights to have company and a routine.

What to expect and how to get there

No tickets, no fuss — just turn up and party. Grab a drink at one of the nearby bars, then find a place under the string lights to let the night take you all the way through. The perfect way to finish the summer season, families, regulars and newcomers are all welcome.
