Unforgettable zip wire challenge in September powers ADSG Dementia Support across Malaga region

ADSG, the Alzheimer’s support group (also known as ADSG), is about to hold a charity event that will be remembered for a lifetime. The goal of the event is to raise money to continue the important work the ADSG does to help people with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia in Malaga and the Costa del Sol. As they continue to discover, this is a condition which is more common than we would like to admit.

The regular support group will be taking a break for the summer after this week’s final meeting. On September 7, the sessions resume, giving caregivers and those with memory issues a small break before returning to full activity.

On September 26, Zipwire Day will be held.

The centre, just outside Alhaurin de la Torre, will host a zip wire day on September 26. The organizers have reserved 25 spots and only a few remain. Participants will take on the long and high-speed course, while raising sponsorship to directly fund ADSG’s meetings, advice, and practical assistance for families in the region. Sunview Park Adventure, for those who are still hesitant to take the plunge, is thrilling and very enjoyable!

Sponsorship drive still open

The participants must raise as much sponsorship funding as they can. On request, official sponsorship forms and event details can be obtained. To secure a place, or to show support for a participant who has already registered, contact the team on WhatsApp at 610 774 408, and they will send you a sponsorship form.

Funds to support community-wide initiatives

Money raised by ADSG will help maintain its regular gatherings, volunteer networks and information services that reach coastal and inland communities. Every sponsored metre encourages carers to exchange experiences, helps people with dementia remain active, and provides free guidance for families when memory problems are first noticed.

Anyone who is concerned about memory problems, wants to support someone they love, or simply wants to help, can participate. As places are limited, it is best to contact us as soon as possible. WhatsApp 610 774 408 remains the direct number for bookings, last-minute questions and forms ahead of the 26th September challenge.
