Charity gala and golf tournament for cancer in Marbella, how to sign up

Sign up for the Charity Golf Tournament and Gala in Marbella to benefit Cancer.

Marbella’s biggest charity weekend returns to fight cancer with a golf tourney and the 41st gala. Spanish Association Against Cancer’s (AECC) double bill brings together residents, businesses, and institutions for a weekend of charity. Every euro raised will go towards free support programmes to cancer patients and their family members.

Council Backs “Essential” Local Charity

Isabel Cintado praised AECC for its vital work in the community. She praised the tireless efforts of AECC staff and volunteers, who offer emotional support, specialist resources, and social assistance all year round.

AECC President Santiago Gomez Villares stated that the funds raised by this event support services for hundreds of families each year. Last year, the local chapter supported 462 cancer patients and 135 families, providing 2,318 sessions of care, 847 sessions of psycho-oncology for 290 users, 732 sessions oncological physiotherapy for 171 users and social support for 12 people.

Politician Borja Semper to collect ‘The Fighter’ award

This is the 41st year of this charity event, which is one among Spain’s oldest. Finca de la Concepcion’s goal is to have more than 600 guests. National PP deputy Borja Semper will receive the association’s ‘The Fighter’ award, recognising his role in normalising conversations around cancer and giving hope through his own testimony. The Vintage Experience will be performing, along with Efecto Mariposa, while Poty Castillo hosts the event. There will also be a raffle and a charity auction. Federico de Juan, a comedian who has worked with many charities and events in the past, will be at the event this year to help out with the charity auction.

Las Brisas hosts 120 players for a golf tournament

The competition begins a day before at Real Club de Golf Las Brisas on the 31st of July, when 120 players compete in a Better Ball Pairs Stableford. Entry costs €130 with a shared buggy for non-members, or €30 without one for club members, participants receive a welcome pack and trophies made from recycled plastic via the Ecomarb sustainability project.

Tickets and tournament entries for this amazing event can be purchased by calling 952-776-800, Monday through Friday, 9am to 2pm.
