In 2025, the year was busy for everyone involved in real estate sales. The majority of estate agents increased their advertising towards vendors due to the shrinking portfolios. It is an indication that Costa Blanca has become very popular among buyers and the prices have risen accordingly. There are some surprising property deals available despite the high demand. In fact, many resales remain well below their cost (when compared to what the build or plot would cost today). Even new build properties can be very affordable when compared with what they would cost in other parts.

In the last year, the Dutch made up the majority of the buyers. However, the Brits are still keen to purchase in Spain. A significant number of Americans have also discovered the Costa Blanca lifestyle. French, Belgians Scandinavians and Germans are also interested in Spain’s sunny climate and low cost of living. The demand for Spanish property in 2026 is expected to continue on an upward trend.

It is wise to hire an attorney for any legal work and include a structural inspection in the purchase process if you plan on investing in Spanish real estate.
