Sun, sport and serious numbers – Marbella is preparing to welcome the seventh edition of ‘The One’ padel and golf circuit, with more than 3,500 participants expected and an estimated €1.5 million economic impact for the town.

Running from February through to September, the circuit once again blends competition with corporate backing and high-end venues, reinforcing Marbella’s position as a destination where sport is not just played – it is part of the brand.

Marbella is a city of sport

Presenting the event, Mayor Ángeles Muñoz said the city “has made sport a defining brand, committing to excellence and to a model that unites the business sector with institutional support.”

Lisandro Vieytes joined her in highlighting padel and the golf as “pillars for the city’s sports identity and its international projection.”

The launch took place at Higuerón Marbella Gold Resort, the official headquarters of the circuit and host venue for September’s Master Final. Along with partners and collaborating firms, the presidents and managers of this year’s host clubs were present.

“It is an honour to host this event once again, which we hope will once again be a success and which brings significant figures in terms of participation and promotion for our municipality,” Muñoz added.

The figures are significant.

Nine events at eight premium venues with one clear aim

This year’s edition features nine tournaments in total – four golf competitions and five padel events – staged across eight premium clubs.

Ignacio Saracho, organiser of ‘The One’, stressed that the circuit “would not be possible without the firm commitment of Marbella Town Hall and the support of companies that share the same vision.”

Vanessa Valle (director of Show Time) outlined the scope of the promotion. The event is forecast to generate advertising returns of more than €1 million.

Digitally, expectations include two million impressions and upwards to 70,000 social media interaction, plus more than 5 000 professional photos, as well as an Instagram reach of 600,000 accounts.

For players, there is an added incentive this year: the Master Final will introduce a €3,000 cash prize in the first-category padel competition – a new competitive edge to close the season.

Golf Calendar: Important Dates

The golf leg of this circuit will be played as follows.

Padel Calendar: From February to Septembre

The dates for the padel competitions is:

  • Racquet Club Los Monteros: 20 – 22 February

  • Nueva Alcántara Club: 13 – 15 March

  • Higuerón Gran Málaga Resort: 24 – 26 April

  • Club El Mirador Pádel: 5 – 7 June

  • Master Final in Los Monteros: 4 – 5 September

With thousands of players, a multi-million-euro promotional footprint and a season that stretches across eight high-profile venues, ‘The One’ is not simply another sporting fixture. It is a statement of intent – one that continues to position Marbella at the intersection of sport, business and international visibility.
