Javea’s Granadella Trail is back for its 2026 version, and it promises to have the most thrilling edition yet. Racers will be competing for victories in more than fifteen different categories.
Sprint Trail Trail begins on 31st January
Sprint Trail is contested on the 31st of January. Racers will run a 14 kilometre circular route departing from Pinosol Park At 9.30am. Since the 2025 edition, there have not been any changes to this route. This could give experienced runners an edge. Sprint Trail is open for both federated and un-federated athletes. Time limits are strictly enforced to ensure fair competition and safety.
Minitrail and Youth Participation
Later in the afternoon, kids will also have a chance at competing as a Minitrail is held. Young competitors will be able to burn off energy by participating in races that are age-appropriate within the park starting at 4.00pm. Minors must have parental or guardian permission to take part in the race.
Short Trail and Half Marathon On Sunday
On Sunday, the 1st Feburary, the race continues with a 5.5km Short Trail. This starts at 9.00am. This linear race begins at Cala Granadella It finishes at Pinosol Park. This category is open to competitors as young as 15.
The Granadella Trail 2026 will end with the fiercest competition, the Half Marathon. Pinosol Park This will once again be the starting point for racers to begin their 21-kilometre run. Both the Half Marathon and Short Trail will start at 9.00am.
Safety is our priority
The organizers have confirmed that all race participants are required to carry mandatory safety equipment, which is specified in the regulations of the race. This includes appropriate trail footwear as well as hydration. Along the routes will be placed aid stations, and medical assistance will be available during the entire event.
Runners should be reminded of the importance of respecting the natural environment in the Granadella region. There are penalties in place if littering is found or if marked trails are not followed.
Awards and logistics
At an awards ceremony on Sunday at 1.15pm, the top three male and women finishers will receive trophies. It is recommended that participants collect their race numbers ahead of time to avoid delays. The collection point for race numbers can be found at Parque Pinosol On the morning of and before races, you can get a head start.
