Marbella introduces new parking discounts

Marbella announces new parking discounts

Marbella Town Council and parking operator Telpark renewed their partnership in order to improve parking accessibility and promote local commerce after Christmas. Running from 7 to 31 January, the scheme allows residents and visitors to purchase discounted 12-hour ‘Multipass’ tickets: €1.99 at Paseo Marítimo Marbell Center, €2.79 at Terrazas de Marbella, and €2.99 at the Mercado Municipal de Marbella.

Support Local Businesses

Félix Romero, Councillor for Transport and Traffic, explained that the initiative forms part of the Municipal Sustainable Commercial Mobility Programme. He explained that this is a good way to make it easy to get to the centre of town and to help local businesses thrive in a busy shopping season. The programme builds upon previous campaigns that were designed to increase footfall in the central areas of Marbella and boost its economy.

Promoting Sustainable Mobility

As part of the effort to promote greener travel, users of Multipass tickets will receive a 30% discount when charging their electric vehicles. Tickets come in bundles of 20 uses, valid for a year. Telpark allows you to purchase tickets through an app that recognizes your licence plate and automatically enters or exits the parking lot. The app allows users to modify their registered vehicles, eliminating the need for parking tickets on paper and speeding the process.

Digital Solutions for Accessibility

José María Fayos, Southern Director at Telpark, highlighted the benefits of this long-term collaboration: “It provides digital, accessible, and sustainable solutions that make mobility easier while directly supporting local economic activity.” The partnership is continuing to promote an equilibrium between efficient urban transportation and the growth in Marbella’s hospitality and commercial sectors.
