Paula Llobet said, as the president of VisitValencia and city tourism councillor Paula Llobet stated, that increased Scandinavian promotion was launched along with new services.
The joint campaign with Madrid to promote long-haul routes in the United States of America and Canada is also part of their strategy.
Llobet said that “better connectivity will not only boost tourism, but it will also improve the quality of living of the people of Valencia who can now be more connected to Europe and the World.”
Ryanair will operate a direct flight between Rabat and Rome, and ITA Airways will launch a new domestic route to Rome. This will increase Valencia’s presence on the North African continent.
Wizz Air and Volotea are among the carriers that offer new connections to London (Luton & Gatwick), Venice, Florence, Lille, and Melilla.
Paula Llobet stated: “Valencia’s connectivity model is very strong and low-dependent. It is based on a diverse and wide network of routes and market, which gives stability and resilience to its destination.”
Llobet also stressed that ‘the growth of domestic tourism in Europe, which is advancing at a faster rate than other markets, together with the stability of tourist demand in the city, clearly indicates that residents are the great beneficiaries of the increase in air capacity.”
She concluded, “More flights means more options, lower prices and an easier way to travel throughout the year from Valencia.”
