Fuengirola’s Área de Tercera Edad is organising a new edition of ‘Disfruta con tu nieto en Bioparc’, allowing residents aged 65 and over to visit Bioparc with their grandchildren for free on December 29. The initiative coincides with the school holiday period, giving families the chance spend quality time together and explore one of the top attractions in the city.

A partnership between Bioparc and the Ayuntamiento has enabled the programme to be provided free of charge to both participants and the city budget. This arrangement allows families to enjoy the zoo all day without paying any fees.

Bioparc is known for its innovative approach towards animal care. Unlike traditional zoos the park recreates habitats that are designed to mimic their natural environments. This is done with a focus on animal welfare.

‘Disfruta con tu nieto en Bioparc’ promotes family engagement and learning. The park is a great place for grandparents and grandchildren to explore together and strengthen family bonds, while learning about the importance of animal conservation and respect. Participants can also observe different species and learn about ecosystems by interacting with them.

Registration is encouraged as places are limited. This activity offers a combination of education, fun and leisure for Fuengirola’s seniors and their grandkids.
