La Cala Christmas Storm

The destruction in La Cala, this morning.

It’s impossible to predict the weather when it’s freaky.

The mini-tornado was so localised, that experts claim it would have been difficult to predict.  Jesús Riesco is the Director of the Malaga branch of AEMET, he expains It was so small and localized that it could not be detected by our systems.  We only know that it was convective phenomena. Now we have to decide if it was an eddiespout, a small tornado or if it originated on land or in the sea.
