Cudeca Foundation has successfully concluded its traditional Christmas event ‘Enciende una Luz’ (Light a Light), held on Friday, December 12, at the Cudeca Palliative Care Centre in Benalmadena. Scores of people came together for an afternoon full of emotion, togetherness and hope. They gathered to remember and honor those who have passed away.

The event began at 6pm and attracted an audience of over 300 people. This showed the community’s strong support for the Foundation. Attendees were treated to a diverse and heartfelt program, which included performances by the Sunny View School’s children’s choir and magic acts by Richard Granda & Juan Garrido. Quimirock’s high-energy performance and Rodrigo Orrego’s moving voice were also highlights.

All proceeds from the evening’s popular charity activities, such as the raffle and charity bar, went to support the Foundation. Cudeca’s sources said that, while exact figures are not yet available, participants showed exceptional generosity in a warm environment.

The Foundation has expressed its deep gratitude to all attendees, collaborators, artists, and volunteers who made this annual event possible – an occasion not only to remember loved ones but also to share hope during this special time of year.

Ongoing initiatives continue, including the ‘Eres Pieza Clave’ (You Are a Key Piece) campaign, which hopes to raise €355,000 to cover part of the costs of the Inpatient Unit, now celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, as well as sales of the 2026 charity calendar ‘Palabras que Cuidan’ (Words That Care), available for €3 at the centre and in all the Joan charity shops.

Cudeca has once again shown that they can bring life to those in need, with the help of the Malaga Province.
