Unique Costa del Sol workshops for families, creatives and cat lovers

Looking for something a little different to do this weekend? From feline-friendly crafts to festive family support, two special workshops offer hands-on activities with a unique twist.

Mum’s creative workshop

Mums on the Costa del Sol are invited to a special evening of festive fun, practical parenting advice and relaxation at a Sip, Share and Decorate workshop, led by CBT therapist Sian Kirkham.

Taking place this Friday November 28, from 5pm to 7pm at the Nueva Alcantara Club in San Pedro Alcantara, the event combines a cosy gingerbread house decorating session with expert guidance from Sian.

Sian, a counsellor specialising in child and family therapy, spent twenty years as a teacher and headteacher before retraining to follow her passion for supporting emotional wellbeing. She now works with local international schools, including English International College, British International School of Marbella and Swans International School, and runs a private practice offering practical tools to help children manage their emotions and behaviour.

During the workshop, Sian will share insights and strategies that parents can use at home to support their children’s emotional wellbeing, alongside fun, hands-on activities that allow mums to relax, connect and enjoy the festive season. Tickets are €45 and include wine, nibbles and all materials for gingerbread house decorating. Very limited spaces are still available and can be reserved on +34 644 868 737.

Join fellow mums for an evening of creativity, conversation and calm, taking home both a beautifully decorated gingerbread house and practical tips to support your family’s emotional health.

Cats and crafts workshop

Are you a crafty cat lover looking for a unique day out? Join a special charity event that combines creativity with adorable cats at the Kitty Cat Cafe in La Línea, to the west of the Costa del Sol.

The venue, set in a peaceful countryside location, offers the perfect escape from the usual routine and a chance to make a real difference for the animals. All proceeds from the event support the refuge, helping provide care and shelter for cats in need.

From 12:30–2:30 pm, local artisan Johannes, from Olive Wood Decor, will guide participants through a creative workshop where you can craft your own olive wood and moss art piece. All materials are included and no prior experience is required, making it suitable for adults and children from eight years and up.

Tickets include brunch and the workshop, with a special offer of buy one ticket and get 20% off the second. A percentage of every ticket will be donated directly to support the cats, combining a fun, hands-on activity with a charitable cause.

This event is perfect for families, couples or friends looking for a creative day out in a beautiful setting.
