In Valencia, as part of the ongoing investigation on fruit arriving from South America several containers have been checked.
One of the two men had a little over 2 tons of cocaine divided into 2,000 packages.
The arrests took place on 17 November. The group is linked to companies involved in the importation of drugs hidden inside fruit containers.
In addition, €10,000 in cash, knives, two high-end cars, computers, mobile phones, a banknote counting machine, a metal detector and a frequency inhibitor, along with various documents were seized by police.
Two years ago, investigations began after two containers containing more than three tonnes of cocaine were delivered.
In November 2024, several suspects were identified. Then more than 500 kilograms of cocaine was discovered hidden in a container that had been imported through the Vigo port by a Valencian firm.
No arrests have been made, but the investigation has continued and led to this month’s seizures and detentions.
