British pilot jailed for chemsex murder of boyfriend in drug-fuelled stabbing frenzy near Barcelona

British pilot imprisoned in Barcelona for murdering his boyfriend with chemsex during a drug-fueled stabbing frenzy

A BRITISH pilot, who killed his Spanish lover during a drug-fueled sex session, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Aaron Rainbow was sentenced to the maximum penalty in Spanish law for stabbing Oscar Tornero six times, following a crystal meth-induced binge, in 2023.

Rainbow, a Surrey man, said he acted in self defence after he became paranoid and confused at Tornero’s house in Vallgorguina in the sleepy town 30 minutes north from Barcelona.

But the pilot will spend the next 18 years of his life in Spanish prison – taking into account the two years he has already spent behind bars – after the jury ruled that he had ‘violently and intentionally’ killed Tornero during his chemsex rage.

Rainbow must also cough up over €530,000 to Tornero’s family and ex-partner.

Rainbow told the court: “I feel I am not responsible for this.”

Before the trial, Rainbow’s legal team had lobbied for their client’s acquittal, claiming he had acted in self defence after a ‘fight or flight’ instinct kicked in.

The Brit claimed that he was worried his lover, who was a fashion-store worker and hired himself to be an escort as well, would film their steamy drug fueled sex.

He thought that strangers were waiting for him outside his house in Northern Spain, to rape before he went to the kitchen and looked for a blade.

Rainbow, the juror, said: “My instinct told my I was in serious difficulty.”

A neighbour who alerted emergency services as the victim fled reported hearing Rainbow shouting: “I’ll f***ing kill you.”

In reaching their majority verdict, the jury took into consideration the testimony of a second man who had sexual relations with Rainbow just three days prior to the deadly attack in Spain.

He told the pilot about his violent behavior due to drugs. He added: “I was afraid you’d grab a blade and kill me.”

In a summary before the trial, officials stated: “A person charged with premeditated homicide is on trial.” The events happened in 2023.

“Accordingly to the prosecutor’s report, the accused had made arrangements with the victim to meet up for a sexual encounter and to use narcotic drugs for that purpose.

“After taking narcotics and entering the accused’s house, the defendant took out a blade and stabbed several times the victim.

“To escape, the victim fell from a high place onto the street. He then fled on foot and eventually collapsed.

But the killer’s family have accused Spanish cops of botching the investigation, alleging that they failed to examine electronic devices that they said would have substantiated fears Rainbow was being ‘watched by others and set up’.

Dan, the pilot’s older brother, stated: “Aaron said he had been drank and was aware that people were watching him online via cameras. He feared for his safety.”

“He was feeling uneasy and wanted to leave. In self-defense, he grabbed the blade and fatally stabbed his roommate.

It’s like a Netflix series, but it is actually real.
