Fuengirola is gearing up for a magical festive season, and one of the highlights is a new event – Carols by Candlelight – taking place on Thursday December 18, from 6:30pm to 9pm at Playa del Ejido, by the Castle.

Bring your picnic blankets or chairs to enjoy a warm evening of Christmas music. Tickets are priced at €5 per person and can be booked in advance via WhatsApp at +34 711 099 171 to avoid queues.

The tickets include an electronic candle, a songbook, hot chocolate or mulled wine, and a cookie. It’s a wonderful family-friendly experience. The First Fuengirola Scouts will be selling handmade gifts to raise money for the event. Everyone is encouraged to wear their Santa hats to sing along to classic Christmas songs. All ages will enjoy the event, which promises to be full of laughter, joy and unforgettable moments.

Not to be missed, too, is the official Christmas Lights Switch-On on November 28. A new pink cherry trees forest will be installed adjacent to the Illunion Hotel. There will also a stunning light show in front of Town Hall.

And, returning is the much-loved Christmas Market in Plaza de la Constitución. From November 27 through December 21. The market will turn the central square into an enchanting winter wonderland. It’s a great place for holiday shopping, family fun and festive treats.

Visitors can find handmade products and holiday themed items in seventeen wooden cabins, while also supporting local businesses. Christmas Market isn’t just about shopping. Each Saturday, artificially created snow is sprinkled over the market square. This delights both children and adults and creates a festive mood in the heart Fuengirola. A central location allows you to combine your market visit with other events. The Costa del Sol is a great place for those who want an authentic Spanish Christmas.

Fuengirola’s Christmas Market has something for everyone, whether you are looking for handmade gifts, enjoy festive entertainment, watch live performances or sample traditional Spanish food.
