ALICANTE ELCHE airport continues to break monthly passenger record with just over 1.9 millions people using the facility.
Over a quarter of travelers came from Britain.
Last month, the total traffic was 5.9% greater than it was a year earlier. International flights increased by 8% and domestic flights fell by the exact same percentage.

The first nine months in 2025 will see a total of 15,3 millions, up 8.6% from the previous year.
The total number of flights is 95 524, an increase of 8.5% per year.
Alicante-Elche Airport is likely to surpass the record passenger number of 18.4 million passengers set last year, which was an increase of 16.8% over 2023.
The breakdown of September foreign arrivals revealed no surprises, with the United Kingdom dominating at 653,522 passengers.
The Netherlands had 110,166, followed by Germany with 118.783, Belgium with 92.439, and France with 89.730.
Alicante-Elche airport was responsible for 6.25% air passengers who arrived in Spain via Aena airports last month.
With numbers of flights and passengers set to carry on rising, over €1 billion will be invested in converting the old terminal building to cater for non-Schengen area arrivals and flights.
The airport will have a second taxiway.
