Will Shackleton Blues Band back at Clarence, Torremolinos

Will Shackleton blues band back at Clarence Torremolinos

Blues fans on the Costa del Sol will be in for a real treat on Friday October 17 when the Will Shackleton Blues Band makes a return to Clarence Jazz Club.

Shackleton’s slide guitar will be a part of the intimate performance, which is sure to be a heartfelt, raw performance combining blues, country and rock.

Will Shackleton is a Londoner who brings years of stage experience to Torremolinos. Shackleton is a five-year resident of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and has worked with some of the most talented artists. Shackleton’s sound is influenced by Eric Clapton and JJCale. He weaves good, honest songwriting with life’s trials and triumphs. His latest work was inspired by a two-month retreat in Granada’s Sierra Nevada, which was infused with Andalusian Soul and performed with local talent.

Fronting the band on guitar and vocals, Shackleton teams up with Rich Austin on slide guitar, Cote Calmet on drums, Tommy Moore on bass, and Jon Sande on keyboards – a lineup that debuted at the 2023 Escondido Festival, delivering electrifying cross-cultural jams.

The band’s August 2024 double-set sold out, and they closed the season with six-string magic. Malaga de Cultura’s Francisco J. FernandezWill Shackleton, his band and six-stringed instruments were incredible on stage. A high-energy show featuring originals from Shackleton’s road-trip stories will take place at 10pm.

Tickets for Will Shackleton Blues Band Torremolinos are between €10 and15, including a drink, and available via clarencejazzclub.com Book early as spots are already filling up. Early booking is recommended as the spots are filling fast.

Clarence Jazz Club’s highlight concert for fans of blues music seeking real live music offers an unforgettable experience.
