British man arrested at Palma airport for drug trafficking from South Korea

After the Policia Nacional learned that he was wanted in South Korea on drug charges, a BRITISH man has been arrested at Palma de Mallorca’s airport.

Interpol issued a warrant for the arrest and extradition of the Briton, who is believed to be around 40.

He was accused of being involved in the trafficking of cannabis.

He could face a maximum of five years in prison if convicted.

When a routine check of the passport control database was performed, his name appeared as a wanted person.

He was taken to the National Court of Madrid on Thursday after being processed by the Policia Nacional.

This body is responsible for processing extradition requests.
