Dutch Federation selects Pinatar Arena

PINATAR Arena in San Pedro del Pinatar will be the official Spanish home for the Netherlands’ national youth football teams. The partnership is valid until 2028. The agreement was signed by Dutch technical director Nigel de Jong, and Pinatar Arena General Manager Fran de Paula at the KNVB Campus.

A popular destination since 2012

Since opening in 2012, Pinatar Arena has become a popular destination for international teams visiting the Costa Cálida, especially the Dutch teams. This new partnership will ensure that the town continues to attract more international teams.

Local communities benefit from the project

San Pedro del Piatar will benefit from the agreement in more ways than one. Hotel, restaurant, and sporting facilities see increased activity as a result of regular international training camp. The growing popularity of the town as a sporting destination is a major factor in its appeal.

Both sides have positive feedback

Fran dePaula said: “It was an honor to have the Dutch federation choose Pinatar Arena for their youth camps. Nigel de Jong said, “The feedback from players and staff is always very positive which makes working with each other easy.”

Building an International Football Future

With Dutch youth teams set to visit consistently over the next five years, Pinatar Arena continues to strengthen its standing as a centre for international football on the Costa Cálida.
