HUNDREDS of thousands of partygoers – including tens of thousands of Brits – make the pilgrimage every summer to Barcelona to attend Primavera Sound, widely regarded as Spain’s largest and most popular music festival.
Now that the organizers have revealed the lineup for the 2019 edition, regular visitors to the site at Parc del Foro can start to get excited.
Earlier this summer, the Catalan capital was taken over by the so-called ‘Primavera Powerpuff Girls’ as Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Charli XCX headlined – with an estimated 293,000 fans boogying along to the trio’s tunes.
The next edition will be even better.
Primavera sound 2026 takes place between 3-7 June and will be headlined The Cure Doja Cat The xx Gorillaz.
Addison Rae of TikTok, Massive Attack and the controversial Irish rap collective Kneecap are also set to perform. The latter group was investigated by the police following their performance at Glastonbury this year.

During their set, one member suggested fans should start a ‘riot’ outside a court where lead singer Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh was set to face terrorism-related offences for allegedly waving the flag of Hezbollah, a proscribed organisation.
The list of other notable performers who will be making the trip to Barcelona includes My Bloody Valentine (Peggy Gou), Lola Young (Mac Demarco), Big Thief (Little Simz) and Wet Leg.
Tickets are on sale now. A full festival ticket will set revelers back €295.
Radiohead Pulp Kendrick Lamar Rosalia are just a few of the previous artists that have performed at Primavera.
Last year, the festival generated over €300 million in revenue for the city of Barcelona.
