Juventud de Torremolinos celebrate historic first win in the third tier

Juventud de Torremolinos wins historic first game in third tier

Malaga teams had mixed fortunes over the weekend. Juventud de Torremolinos celebrated their first win of the season, while Marbella FC drew with league leaders Ibiza in La Dama de Noche.

Antequera CF was the bad news, as they lost at home this week and are still without a victory in the season.

Torremolinos 2-1 Tarazona

Torremolinos won their first ever game in the Spanish third division in dramatic style on Sunday.

Sergi Armero gave Tarazona the lead in the 14th minute, but Álex Camacho equalised from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time. Pito Camacho sealed the victory with a goal scored in the 62nd minutes.

Torremolinos is now out of the relegation zones and has tasted their first win at this level.

Marbella 1-1 Ibiza

Marbella’s feelings about La Dama de Noche were mixed when it left the event on Saturday.

An early stunner from Álex Martínez in the fifth minute put them ahead, only for Davo to level in the 73rd.

With the new ‘low-cost’ VAR system prolonging games deep into stoppage time, the match ran to the 100th minute as coaches used their challenges in search of reversals.

Marbella’s unbeaten record is a silver lining.

Antequera 1-2 Alcorcón

It was a rollercoaster ride at El Maulí on Saturday. Alcorcón struck first through Mariano after 11 minutes, before David Ramos equalised with a superb volley early in the second half.

Antequera asked for a foul shortly after. The referee looked at the monitor and then decided to let play continue.

Tarsi then scored the winning goal for the visitors in the 83rd minutes.

Antequera, with just one point in three games, is now bottom of the Group 2. They are rebuilding after fighting for promotion in the previous season.
