Marbella is hit by a wildfire

News has just come in that a fire broke out in the center of Marbella, on a piece undeveloped land.

Two fire engine groups, a semiheavy helicopter, and a helicopter are at the scene. Water from the nearby swimming pool is being used to douse the flames. Local residents are advised not to place garden furniture near pools, and to stay indoors if a helicopter approaches. It could blow away objects like poolside furniture in any direction.

There is no word as of yet to how the fire on the stretch of natural land started between Puerto Banus bull ring and Fitz Marbella, on the edge of the urbanisation Alzambra de Puerto Banus, but it appears to be on a popular dog-walking path near the Benabolá stream, just behind Mister Noodle.
