A suspicious officer at the Lloret de Mar Policia Local checked his passport and found it to be a fake.

The fugitive was also nervous when questioned and gave some confused and contradictory responses about his current status.

The Policia Nacional was contacted, and they confirmed that the fake passport had been obtained.

He was charged with document fraud and released after appearing in court.

The Police Nacional investigated and facial recognition experts were able uncover his true identity.
