Estepona, a town on the Costa del Sol, has always been a creative hub for artists with its beautiful sunny charm and endless inspiration.

What brought your here?
“I met Melissa when I lived in Limerick in Ireland in 2008. She was working in Gibraltar. It felt natural to move here. When I arrived, I thought, ‘So this is where you’ve been hiding the sun!'”

Where are the remaining members of Tyketto?
The band is spread out across Europe. The band members are spread across Europe. Our keyboardist recently moved to Gran Canaria. Our drummer is in Germany. And the rest are in the UK. Danny admits that the distance between Estepona and London isn’t ideal. Especially after COVID. But, Estepona being close to Malaga airport and Gibraltar makes it easier for them to meet up in London.

What is your opinion of the Spanish music industry?
“I would like to hear more rock and roll. We’re thrilled to be booked for two major festivals in Spain next year, but the kind of music we like doesn’t often go much further south than Madrid—maybe Seville on a good day.”

Do you have any favourite venues where you’ve played?
The choices are endless! The Pavilion in London and The Beacon Theatre, New York, as well as The Ryman, Nashville, are all outstanding. Louie Louie, the only place in Estepona to see it is here.

Tyketto’s 1991 hit Forever Young YouTube is close to 8.5 million hits.

What are your current projects?
“I’m buzzing about our new album – it’s going to be a fan favourite. We have just completed mastering and the album will be out in March. “A tour and some major festivals are planned.” Tyketto has announced that they will rock Massive Weekend at Blackpool in the UK, towards the end of October, and Stonedead Festival on August 22, in Newark in the UK.

You mentioned the Camino de Santiago – excited for that?
“Absolutely. I’m ready to go again. “It’s a very special journey.”

Do you carry an acoustic?
“No, no I do not.” You usually find guitars along the way – some even have all six strings!”

Danny’s relentless schedule of writing, performing, and travelling keeps him connected to fans, especially in the UK, with exciting invitations to Germany lined up for 2026 – details he’s keeping under his hat for now. In the moments between, Danny performs at private events doing his ‘House Concerts’. Each concert is an experience like no other, which brings listener to performer. The fact that they are so flexible is one of their most exciting features.

A sublime performance The Levee Breaks.
