Torremolinos welcomes the best alternative rock back!

Canela Party, the 17th edition of this festival in Torremolinos, will take place from Wednesday 20 August to Saturday 23. This festival is known for its underground and independent line-ups that feature the best alternative pop-rock. The music press described this unusual extravaganza as the “only festival in the whole world where bands are allowed to perform in front of the public”. It has gained popularity because it encourages attendees to dress in colourful, carnival-style costumes.

The event was first held in 2007 at various venues, but since 2022 the organisers have decided that Torremolinos will be the permanent venue.

The festival is designed for people who prefer underground and independent music over mainstream. It features established performers and bands with a focus on young talent.

There will be non-stop music on both stages starting at 6pm every day. The event this year will once again feature national and international artists. These include Frankie and the Witch Fingers, Biznaga, Ducks Ltd, Palmeras Negras, Get Out of the Car and Serpiente Orión, among others.

Tickets are available for 55 euros. On Wednesday, however, the entry fee is nine euros.
