Estepona’s Casa de Las Tejerinas in Plaza de las Flores will open to showcase Aires del Sur, a captivating painting collection by artist Silvia Pucciarelli.
The exhibition, which runs until August 27, offers free entry and features 21 medium and large-format works that capture the light, colours, and emotions of Andalucía. The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Friday from 9am-8pm and Saturday from 9am-2pm and 4pm-8pm.
Originally from Argentina, Silvia Pucciarelli has called Andalucía home for over 19 years. Her move from Argentina to Europe was a turning-point in her art relationship. Pucciarelli says, “When I moved to Europe, my passions changed, as well as my daily life. “I started diving into the art world, which was always a pending curiosity. What began as a hobby, became my way of life. I took classes and refined my craft.
In recent years, Pucciarelli has seen a rapid rise in her career. In 2019, she exhibited her work at Hotel La Morena Fuengirola, for a period of several months. In 2023, she was selected for the Mujer y Arte competition at the Almería Art Museum, where four of her pieces were featured. Aires de Mujer, an exhibition dedicated to Andalusian Women, at the Mijas Contemporary Art Centre in 2024 was well received by the public.
With Aires del Sur, Pucciarelli reaffirms her deep connection to Andalucía’s culture. She says that she continues to study Andalusian culture and art, highlighting her ongoing dialogue with the heritage of the region. This latest exhibition promises to be a vibrant celebration of the south, inviting visitors to experience Andalucía through her unique artistic lens.
