Tickets for the Mallorca-Barça match on the opening day, August 16th, have sold out within hours, and anybody holding one is considered to be extremely lucky as they are increasingly becoming ‘priceless jewels’.

There are no tickets available for the 2025-26 season opener at Son Moix. The only seats left in the stadium in the days before the match will be those that season ticket holders vacate in the weeks leading up to it, according to local news outlet Ultima Hora reported.

Son Moix has a great start to the new season. The reigning league champions will begin their title defence at the Camí dels Reis against a Mallorca side that will also officially kick off the second season of the Arrasate project.

A very similar situation to that of a year ago, when a Real Madrid team that had just won the European Super Cup travelled to Palma, where Kylian Mbappé was about to make his debut in Spanish football.

Maximum capacity reached

With more than 23,000 season tickets holders, Mallorca will start the season with fewer than 3,00 seats in the stadium. All seats sold through the official website, priced between 95 euros to 210 euros for the match of August 16 (7:30 pm), were all gone within hours, Ultima Hora said.

The capacity limit has reached. Currently, there are no tickets on sale. “Please try again later” reads the message on the portal where premium tickets are not available.

Barcelona’s visit in 2024 coincides, as does Madrid’s, with the height of the tourist season on the island, which contributes to the rapid sales of tickets.

Hansi Flick’s Barça could travel to the Balearic capital without Robert Lewandowski, who is suffering from hamstring discomfort.
