The Hunting Wives Season One

The Hunting Wives on Netflix It is equal part murder mystery, erotica thriller and small-town drama. The series follows Sophie (Brittany Snow), a newcomer to Texas whose attempts to blend into wealthy suburban life quickly spiral into booze-fuelled nights, tangled affairs, and a tight-knit clique of gun-toting housewives led by the magnetic Margo (Malin Åkerman). Beneath the glossy veneer of Southern hospitality lurk secrets, scandals, and… a dead body in the woods. Sexual tension, high drama and large, reckless character are all present. It is a queer-representation, entertaining, and totally bingeable.

Code of Silence: Season One

Code of Silence at ITVX This noir-tinged thriller is elevated by Rose Ayling’s outstanding performance as Alison, a deaf girl whose lip-reading abilities lead her to a dangerous police investigation. A simple favour for an overworked team of surveillance officers turns into a game of cat-and-mouse with a violent gang. This clever show uses partial subtitles to bring viewers into Alison’s world. It highlights both the strengths and challenges of deaf communications without preaching. Ayling-Ellis charisma and the focus on underrepresented perspectives makes it compelling. There’s a blend of suspenseful drama, moral ambiguity and subtle romance bubbling beneath the surface.
