Wildfire, Altavista Urbanisation, Sierra de Mijas

Wildfires are active in Altavista, near Mijas Pueblo. Three forest firefighting teams, two light aircraft dumping powder, one light and heavy helicopter.

A team of investigators has also been dispatched to the scene to determine how the fire started.

The fire seems to have started in a residential area. Anyone travelling between Alhaurín el Grande and Mijas should seek alternative routes, as there appears to be a large accumulation of vehicles possibly blocking the road.
