A member of the gang was also accused of attempting to pose as someone else in order to avoid being arrested.

Guardia was alerted to two car thefts that occurred in the province of Castellon last April. The vehicles were used to travel from and to robbery locations.

Maces and other tools were used to break down front doors before the crew stole money in what was described as a ‘quick execution’.

The thieves then fled in a stolen luxury car, letting off fire extinguishers as a way to possibly destroy any evidence which could be used to identify them.

The robberies took place in the early morning hours to minimize the chances of being seen.

The Guardia Civil used security camera recordings and other evidence in order to identify perpetrators.

When one of the gang members’ stolen cars was found, arrests were made. They were also caught red-handed robbing an unnamed shop in south Madrid.

Items like maces and objects used to break locks were seized along with €3,500 in cash.
