A yellow weather warning is in effect for the Costa Del Sol Monday (21st July). Spain’s National Meteorological Agency (AEMET) Temperatures are expected to reach 36c. The weather alert is active from 1pm until 9pm.

High temperatures may pose a potential risk The pet owners of the area are reminded that they should provide shade and water to their animals. The Costa Del Sol has also been hit by fires that have caused havoc.

Fires that are caused by high temperatures will be dealt with by emergency services.

Amber: Be prepared. It is more likely that bad weather will affect people in the area. This could cause travel delays, rail and road closures, power interruptions and even the risk of life and property.
Red: Take action. Extreme weather conditions are expected. Red means that people in the affected areas need to take immediate action to protect themselves and others from the effects of the weather. There is a high probability of widespread damage, power outages and travel disruptions.
